Let's make this clear all work was done by licensed contractors and sub-trades that took out permits. City Hall passed all plumbing work in the home, and this was not part of the insurance claim.

Janice Braden claims that the company did not provide her with any invoices because she said I promised her to do the work for free. I made it clear to her several times that we were not prepared to move forward with her due to her dishonesty by not letting us know she was unemployed and could not meet her financial obligations.

This is an outright lie Braden made up; Braden's project was put on hold because she did not pay her outstanding invoices. Braden cannot show any invoices paid; that is why she tried to flip the story and say she did not receive them, and" the company planned to build it for her free; that was his promise, she said." The company found out later that Braden was unemployed and was trying to get out of payments.

She misrepresented herself by leading me to believe she had money to pay for her renovation project and gave lots of excuses like," I have some bonds. I will pay you once I get the cash," the contract that she avoided signing was also to give the company permission to check to see if she could afford the work. Still, Braden always seemed to avoid the conversation or leave home quickly, not to return until we left for the day. It got to the point that we said no; further, we had gone way too far as it is. Enough is enough. The city was booming, and we had lots of projects at the time, so staying on top of Braden to get her to pay was becoming more complex.

A1 Pro Electrical had a permit with SaskPower, and the company would not sign off on it until we got paid for the electrical work.

Braden tries to claim there was no permit, Saskatoon Safe and Trusted was involved in this story and, along with Dave Adercheck, to deceive the public. This was all personal for him. Braden asked me the first day I met her at her house that several companies came in to do the quotes she said and one of them was Dave Adercheck company. Braden asked me if I knew him. I asked her why she went on saying that he told her things about her home that other contractors told her differently. I said you would get different options, not to say it's wrong, but a different approach. She then asked me, "So what do you think about J.A.A.B Construction," It was a red flag for me, I heard from some subtrades that worked for us that they did not pay their subs on time or cheated them out of money, Braden went very quiet. I left it at that.

  • I thought it was weird since I have been around construction for over 38 years. I never had a customer ask me about another contractor while just quoting on the home. It seems a bit subspecies that CBC interviews Dave Andercheck? and then invited back by Braden later to do the misleading interview.
  • "Braden said that we did not finish her insurance claim, but she paid me for it. Correction, she paid the company, and she signed off on it " Braden would have had to go down to SGI Insurance to sign off on the work that was completed, now if the work was not finished, and she falsely claimed that it was, then the question would be why? Was she looking at an angle or trying to trap the company or me? Either way, Braden is a fraud. However, Braden knew it was completed and some areas for the second time, but she is falsely blaming me, so she could have her house fixed by others renovation firms.
  • This is a disgrace that she would go to such an extent to have free work done.
